Moulded gel foam and shredded foam are different purchase decisions

A moulded pillow is one piece of foam, poured into a shape and cut. The contour is fixed at that moment, which is why shape has to be right before the first run - there is no adjusting a moulded pillow afterwards. Add a gel layer and the surface gains a cool-to-the-touch feel that warm-market buyers ask about, while the pillow holds a defined curve under the neck.

A shredded pillow is a cover filled with torn foam pieces. It re-shapes by hand, recovers after compression, and because the fill sits loose, housekeeping can plump it back into shape instead of replacing it - the practical reason shredded constructions survive hospitality cycles that a single moulded block would not.

What does not change is the first question worth asking: what happens to the pillow after fifty cover washes and a year under compression in storage. The contour is a specification, not a styling choice

A removable cover is worth insisting on: a pillow whose cover cannot come off gets replaced, not cleaned.

Samples can be provided, and sample lead time is 5-7 days confirmed with your quotation. A sample is the only reliable way to judge contour height and cover hand-feel against your own reference.
