Goose down vs. feather – what goes inside matters more than the label

Feathers have stiff quills that can poke through the shell; down is the fluffy under-plumage, and loft and warmth come from it. We fill this comforter with white goose down (white duck down is available on request). Baffle box – the part your guests feel but never see

Two things kill a down comforter: leaking down, and down drifting into one corner. Regular sewn-through quilting leaves cold channels where there is no down, and the needle holes along those seams are where tiny feathers escape. Baffle box construction adds a fabric wall between the top and bottom shells, so every box keeps its own loft and the down stays evenly spread.

The shell is 100% cotton with a down-proof finishing. We run a down-leakage test on finished pieces before shipping and the result can travel with your shipment.
